At Triton, sustainability in business telephony is a constant commitment.
Every quarter, we take a close look at how we’re operating to identify where we can reduce our environmental impact. As part of our ongoing focus on sustainability in business telephony, we’re finding smart, practical ways to lower our footprint while maintaining the reliable service our customers expect.
Here’s what we’ve been up to in Q2:
🌍 Powering down, emissions down
All team members are now switching off PCs when not in use. As a result, we’ve reduced office energy consumption by 20% this quarter, especially with ‘Work from Home Fridays’ firmly in place Less energy used means less environmental impact. We’ve found this to be a simple step that’s adding up.
🔄 Zero to landfill for electrical waste
We’re proud to report that we’ve hit 100% of our target for recycling all electrical items through our certified recycling contractor. We dispose of every item responsibly and in full compliance with WEEE regulations. Furthermore, this helps keep tech waste out of landfills.
🚗 Remote support = fewer road miles
Virtual meetings and remote support continue to play a big part in cutting down on travel, for example, by replacing routine courtesy check-ins. Between us, we’ve reduced car travel by 126% over target, thanks to increased use of Microsoft Teams and smarter scheduling. We handle customer support remotely wherever possible – site visits only happen when necessary or requested.
🗑 Small office, big picture
Meanwhile, our business park is stepping up, too. Food waste bins are being introduced across the estate. Whilst the impact on our small office may be modest, it’s a great move towards sustainability overall.
We’re proud of the progress we’ve made this quarter and know that every small step counts.
Our focus remains on finding practical, effective ways to reduce our footprint without compromising on service. These changes show our long-term dedication to sustainability in business telephony.
In addition to our own best practices, we’ve also been looking into our suppliers. It’s important to make sure they’re reducing their environmental impact wherever they can too. For one of our suppliers, Gamma, you can view their ESG policy here: https://gammagroup.co/company/esg/
